The Monks’ Vineyard
Did you know that on the island of Saint-Honorat, near Cannes, since the Middle Ages, eight hectares of vineyards have been cultivated by monks? 5 are dedicated to red wine and 3 to white wine. With respect for the land, the Community of Monks of the Abbey of Lérins favours a production without pesticides, herbicides or chemical fertilizers, in the greatest respect for nature. Every year, the grapes are pampered and harvested by hand as at each stage: pruning, destemming… The Grands Crus are packaged and stored at the abbey for an annual production of +35,000 bottles.
Saint-Paul:
Organic wine
In the western ramparts of the small village of Saint-Paul de Vence, the vineyard is of a peaceful and radiant beauty and offers you a production in complete confidentiality. The grape varieties (Rolle and Clairette for the white, Mourvèdre and Folle noire for the red) are cultivated in terraces and have always been cultivated by hand. In the heights of the city of Nice, the reputation of Bellet wines, created in 1777 by the Barons de Bellet, is more international than ever. Over 650 hectares of this appellation (60 of which are in production), the Château de Bellet vineyards surround the former Family Chapel. The wines of Château de Bellet will accompany the greatest festivities: they were tasted on the occasion of the Monegasque wedding of Prince Albert and Princess Charlène.
